Ana's World Record Attempt in...
finger knitting!!
The current record is 19,369.5 m (63,548 ft 2.7 in) long, achieved by Ida Sofie Myking Veseth (Norway) as measured in Lonevåg, Norway, on 4 March 2016.

Ida has lost her sight due to a degenerative disease, which meant that she wanted to find new hobbies. Finger knitting has been a "kind of therapy" for the last two years while she aimed to break this record. The measurement took over 7 hours to complete.
She's got a good start, but....send yarn!!!

House Work
I've done a lot of work on the house in the past three years. I hope to do a before and after post soon. Having done most of the upstairs, I have focused my attentions on the basement.
I decided to rip out a room. Since I thought I could use the boards for another project I thought this project might take a while...BUT boy did I underestimate the man who built this. It looks like wood nailed to 2x4's right?
Wrong! This room could withstand a bomb blast. The man dovetailed each piece of wood into the next and put three nails into each stud. (One was at a diagonal!) It made it almost impossible to get the wood off without damaging it. So, I took my reciprocating saw and cut around some of the studs.
After a good three hours, here's what I accomplished...not much! Maybe I'll have better luck tomorrow!

Wow! What a Day!
First, let me say...sorry for not posting more. I have been doing a maternity leave, and that has left me with less time. However, it finished today. Next week I go back to my real job! 😊
Today it was announced that Shepherd will receive 7.5 million dollars from the Lilly Endowment. This is a HUGE blessing! Hopefully it will allow Shepherd to become financially stable and provide services for many more on the East side.
If you'd like to read about it, you can find the article here
When we moved back to the States, I really hoped that I would have some interaction with an international population. This is sometimes difficult in the inner city! I'm so thankful to get to interact with students from other countries everyday. Although I do hope someday to get to live overseas again, I recognize the goodness of God to place me in a place that matches my heart's desire.
